Old Books Mod
Books in minecraft have come a long way to be here for minecraft game players. From being useless items that served no real duty to the minecraft story-telling potential. The only difficulty with being able to write in books at the present, is that the books desire a piece of leather to make. It doesn’t seem as much, but finally the butchering of cows just get some books can turn out to be rather tedious. Well thanks to Saphir09 on the miencraftforums we at the present have a way to save the cows of miencraft in the name of story-telling in the minecraft game play.
This Mod is just a very tiny Mod, which brings back the old crafting recipe for books, which doesn’t require any leather, just 3 pieces of paper placed in any shape you desire. For those of you, who don’t like looking and killing cows in order to gain and get enough leather for books or even book cases, this Mod will be useful for all of you!
And there we all own it. With this mod installed, by allowing the old recipe (3 pieces of paper instead of 3 pieces of paper and some leather) you can one more time again make books while leaving them poor cows alone! This is of course a small mod but at the same time a great mod for those people who totally love the capability to create books and write in them but would rather not go through the hassle of collecting leather or making a cow farm. Another problem that this mod may fix is cows becoming scarce than ever before. Ever since minecraft 1.0 animals spawn in very distinctive ways. Apart from just spawning on grass in daylight they currently just don’t respawn at all. So if you’re continuously killing cows you may have a problem of cows becoming very rare or even extinct. At the present that we no longer need leather to create books this problem is relatively much fixed.
And that’s all there is to it. A basic mod and very small yes, however has the potential to fix a lot of difficulties in minecraft ever since writable books were offered in the minecraft game play. Kudos to Saphir09 for bringing this useful little fix.
